Question Honda clearcoat issues

My 01 Accord is starting to chip some clear coat off the roof, right now just a spot the size of a dime. I know this is pretty common with Honda paint jobs exposed to the intense TX sun.

My question is... what can I do to stop it from getting any worse? I just bought the car, I already clay barred it and applied a coat of wax. And I will continue waxing it every 2-3 months. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks!

If it's starting to chip, theres nothing you can do to fix it. I'm willing to bet that there are more area's that are getting ready to do the same thing. Keep a good coat of wax on it at all times, and out of the sun as much as possible. More than likely, the damage is already done. But you may be able to keep it looking decent for a few more years. Texas heat is killer on our vehicles paints. Thats why I've brought in some waxes that last so much longer. Most everything on the shelf can't handle the Texas heat for more than a month or two.

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for your input.
