Still working on the Lightning...

This has to be the longest running project I've ever done I don't have much free time to devote to working on the Lightning, but it's slowly getting there. Here's some more progression...

Before...

Ehhhh, not quite. This thing has quite a bit of defects that I'll never be able to remove(like all the pitting in the pictures), but I'm just making the best of what I have for now. maybe one day I'll be able to afford to paint this thing

Man!! You have some nasty RIDS to clean out of that! Did you all of the defects out? (except for the pitting?)

NO NO NO, it should be DFWLS1's, CUMMINS, C6 VETTES.net

Not quite. I'm probably about 80% done right now. Just don't have the time to finish is completely in one sitting.

Good lord nick you really do have an amazing talent. I will definintely be giving you a call before next show season starts. And i've got my eye on a skyline that needs some work too.

I'll show your president the same respect you showed mine.

Looks good Nick! I did a zo6 last night that was about the same caliber as car as micromarring/spider webbing goes as he was trying to get it to sell. I was pressed for time and only got two pics, but it improved the paint by 95%.

Nice work as usual man!

Aren't you going to be down for some time coming soon?

Oh shit man... if that's what your truck looks like I can only imagine what you can do for my paint.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

Bring it over and lets see what we can do. I'll be here all day on Thanksgiving if you're around(doesn't your family live in Grapevine?).

Thank you sir I'll never get this paint perfect. But I'm working with what I have available to me. There is severe pitting on every panel and some defects that just won't come out, but it's a good 5-10 footer now. Definitely not perfect by any means. I'd like to just get it resprayed, but finances just won't allow that right now. I'm going to play around with painting it myself next spring. I don't know if I'm up to it or not, I'm pretty anal and demanding on myself, so I don't know if I can make it look like I want it to look.

Seeing good work like that make me wish I had the time to get my junk into shape. I really do miss the "art" of making paint look wet.

Outstanding work as always! This is why I bring my black truck to you...which BTW it'll be due again in the next few months and the blue car is in Houston right now getting a bunch of stuff done. It'll come to you when I get it back; I suspect sometime in January.

you still need to take a look at the CTS-V to see what you'll be able to do with it

Who needs please when we've got guns?
