How can I get this paint off my paint!

On my Integra, the previous owner put household paint black racing stripe right down the middle of my hood, and applied it with a paint brush! There is also some over spray from when my Dad painted his house. What should I get/do to remove this paint?

If its a modern BC/CC paint, you should be able to use Laquer thinner/paint thinner, acetone, etc..then buff...Or maybe goo-gone or other "graffiti removers"..

The over spray will come off with clay bar. As for the hand painted part it does really depend on what type of paint and if it was clear coated or not.

Depending on the type of paint he put on by hand, you may be able to remove it with heat gun, being very careful.

NO NO NO, it should be DFWLS1's, CUMMINS, C6 VETTES.net

Hard to see from pictures. Is there any chance you could run it by my place in Grapevine? I could give you my best advice for getting it off, or give you a quote if you chose to have be do it.

I will, but it would have to be for a while. I have other things that need to be handled before I attend to the racing stripe.

well, you could give a pressure sprayer a shot at your local car wash. A friend of mine purchased a 70 chevelle from some retards that painted single stage over clear without sufficient prep, we blasted a black car to glittering white paint in about 15 minutes, but you also risk blowing all the damn paint off too, haha.
