1992 Mustang...before and afters

I haven't done this in a while, but this was a pretty good makeover.

Here are a couple of before pics.

Depends on how bad it is in it's current condition, and how far you're wanting to take it. I like to meet with the owner and go over the car with you. That way I can get a good idea of your expectations, and we can go over what can be repaired and what can't be repaired.

If you're interested, give me a call and we'l get together and go over your car.

Nick

well if you had a clue on how to do it, you'll realize that the shit isnt that hard to do. but since your a complete tool and think Nick is some god behind a buffer is ridicolous, doesnt take a genius to do what he does.

Why do you feel the need to say something like that? Seriously, why?

You're right though, what I do is not that hard. If you have patience, time, the right tools and the right products, anyone can do this. So why don't you and quit knocking my freaking work and open up your own detail business? Maybe if you did, you wouldn't have time to come on here and put someone elses hard work down, while you sit your fat ass on a couch in front of a computer!

Im not knocking your work asshole! you do a good job! dont get me wrong! im just stating a fact that what you do is not that hard to do! everyone look ooooo aaaaah about something that a machine does!

besides the right products? lol man that can come out just as good with shit products. I know the kind of products you use and yeah it makes it VERY easy to do! i've used the product for years! and yeah they make alot of shit that'll hide alot of defects in a paint job! i've dont it with a black dodge truck! the whole entire truck looked like a mirror!

and before you jump the gun thinking on dogging you work! read before you speak!

Thats the difference between what you do and what we do.
What we do is REMOVE defects, not hide them.

yeah yeah yeah, i've heard it all before! you cannot hide defects 100% you can take majority of the defects out with sand paper and a buffer, 5% of it is the finishing touch!

None the less Nick, that is freaking awesome, I wish I knew about you when I had my 87. It may and may not be that hard, but it does take time. Which I don't really have alot of. If I do happen to, I'm too lazy anyway. Looks awesome man.

I detailed for a lot in high school. I wouldn't call it easy, it can be a PITA and hard on the back.

But the real accomplishment here is having a great rep for providing customer satisfaction. I bet Nick spends half his working hours outside of the garage doing crap he'd rather not mess with. Detailing may be simple, running a succesful business isn't.

Exactly, there are tons of detailers out there, and I'm sure a lot could get great results. I pay Nick to do my cars because of the time he spends, the attention to detail, and the customer service he offers. Nick is the only detailer I've ever used that actually will go into detail about how he removes imperfections instead of simply hiding them.

I'm just impressed that I never hear bad things, I see plenty of timely replies to questions, and a complete openness not only about how he does things but in answering the do-it-yourselfers in this room. Remember the classes? I thought that was a killer move, kind of like a shop having a discount dyno day with munchies. I don't care if you are selling custom hunting turtles, that shows a dedication that can't be beat.

damn nick that looks really good. With those kinds of results is just going to make your little business grow. One of these days once my race car is going, I'm going to see what you can do to it.

what can you do to a car that doesn't look like there is any clear coat in it?

My car ^^^ doesn't have clear coat. Nick said just be sure and keep a good coat of wax on it at all times to prevent the oxidation.

The car was great to work on, because it was so easy to see the difference with everything we did.
Tried a few different things till we found what really made the most difference.

WE could have even actually gone farther, but that single stage paint you cant really work too long or too hard, so there are obviously still a few things we would have liked to have improved on, but the car just wouldnt allow it. The car almost looks like a completly different car.
I keep tellin Nick he needs to take more before and afters so people can actually see what he is able to do.
Its a pleasure to work for him and learn from him.

It doesn't matter what you do, or how well you do it. There will always be people that come on here and give you shit about this or that. Sometimes it bothers me, and most of the time, it doesn't. I know my customers are happy, and that is all that matters to me.
I do this work because I love to do it, not because I have to. I already have a full time job working in the airline industry that pays my bills. So this is not something I need to make ends meet. And, if it wasn't for things such as insurance, flight benifits, vacation time, profit sharing, 401K, etc... I'd probably quit my full time job, and devote myself to this totally. I love working on car's!

My main goal with detailing is to make sure your car looks good. It doesn't matter if you're paying me to spend the hours on it, or if I am walking you through the steps for an hour over the phone or through PM's to make sure you do it right on your own. I can't tell you how many people call me or PM me looking for advice to their problems or answers to their questions. I do not mind doing this. Thats why I'm here!

Lately, I haven't been able to give the advice here on the board that I normally give. Brent and I have been busting our butts! And that hasn't left much time for the internet. Heck, I haven't even had a real day off in months! I'm leaving tomorrow to go take some R&R down on the beach in Florida, and I practically had to force myself to do that! But, I need to even out my farmers tan

And Brent,
As much shit as I give you, you really do a great job! Thanks for all of your hard work! You really are an asset to my little business.

Now I need a tissue....

I've got more than a clue, faggot. Never once did I say it was something hard (impossibly hard) to do, nor did I say Nick was the only person capable of doing it. The service he provides is more than worth what he charges for people who don't want to invest the time, patience, money, room, etc. and do it themselves. Just the fact that you come on here and try to diminish Nick's work shows that you're a punk bitch. Don't say you didn't because when you say how easy it is and that you can do it and try to undercut Nick makes you a punk bitch.

Now for your offer to detail my car... Why would I even let a punk bitch TOUCH my car, let alone trust him to work on it's detail? Every post you made so far was demeaning, insulting, and completely negative to an obvious near perfect performance in the field you claim to specialize in. Now what does that say about your knowledge of the said field? Just because you wash cars at some dealership, doesn't necessarily make you a pro at anything. Just go make your detailing business and fuck off... seriously.

Nick, if you get a second, go take a look at this guy's (few) posts. He's an obnoxious idiot, don't waste your time with him.

I'm proud of you man, your business is really taking off. It's because of the pride you take in your work and your customer service. Something that assbag will never comprehend. Good job man.

BTW - an oxidized non-clearcoat red car is the PERFECT canvas for demonstrating good results. It always goes from looking sad and tired to eye popping...

The only thing you buff is your dad's cock before he puts it in your ass.

Edit: the car looks brand new!

Looks excellent. I have done hundreds of cars, and it is simple, but by no means easy. Wet sanding and buffing a crew cab long bed is serious work!! I have done several of those, and have one to do now. I am not looking forward to it.

Current Rides
'05 Cummins Quad Cab Dually, the daily
'07 Infiniti M35 Sport, the wifes daily
'06 Lexus GS430, why not...
'92 Coupe, minitubbed, 385w, little turbo, glide, etc. GONE but not forgotten
'92 LX Hatch, BBC, n2o, glide
'88 GT Vert, 347 NA, 5 spd., all new from the ground up
Previous Rides.......not enough room.........
