cleaning & Polishing Metal in engine compartment

whats the best product to use to polish up metal in the engine compartment. Any special procedures? For example: Edelbrock Performer (upper intake) intake manifold, chrome cold air intake tubes, and valve covers.

do a thread search or extend your viewing date in "the detail shop" i swear there has been a new post about this every other day for the past fricken 2 months...
