You can call 5 different shop and get 5 different prices. Then you have to make the decision of you think will fuck your paint job up for the least amount of money.
All jokes aside, a good paint job (especially black) should cost you over 2k easy and that depends on how straight you really think your car is to begin with.

$1500 to start with very minimal bodywork, if your car is fair , minor dents, crappy bumpers probably around $2000. plan to be out of your car for a few weeks

I was looking at a nice 72 malibu and it had a recent earl schieb paint job and there were plenty of large runs in the paint. I couldn't believe that they would have accepted the paint job, folks that are repainting the new body panels on my Titan managed to mess it up and I told them no way was I taking it home. I used that company since it was Allstate guaranteed but it was a bad 1st impression for sure. I'm suppossed to get it back tomorrow so we'll wait and see, and this time I'll have my camera.

I have had to deal with decent paint/body shops a few times and I have learned to take the amount of time they say they need to finish your car and double it to get a good idea of how long it will actually take.

That is an industry wide issue. insurance companies are really pressuring shops to get the cars done on time. Not faster, just with a correct time frame.

Let Me Just Touch Base On Everyones Knocks To Maaco.. The Reputation That A Maaco Job Sucks Is Limited Itd Be Like Saying I Went To A Ford Dealership But I Could Only Afford Penzoil... People Tend To Think The Painter Is Fucking Shitty What Makes Maaco Cheapo Shitty Is Your Not Paying Good Hard Cash For Quality Prep Work Or Body Work Or Sealer Or Base Coat Clear Coat Your Buying Single Stage Enamel With Built In Clear Coat The Bullshit President Package... So Let Me Rephrase If You Pay 2000 At Maaco You Will Get A Great Paint Job Money Talks Man Did You Think Your Cars People Would Look Great With 299 Dollars Worth Of Paint On It??????? Does Your Car Run Great On 299 Dollar Stroker Kit???? Fuck No!!!!!! If You Have A Fairly Nice Paneled Hatch Minor Dings I Could Probably Do Some Paintless Dent Repair And Do Your Car For About 1500 Out The Door Problem Is Im In Okc If You Can Get It Her Ill Get It Done In A Week.. Secondly Maaco President Special Sucks Not Maaco In General I Own One Lol!!!!!
