Paintless Dent Repair

Well I got my bumper hit while at Six Flags yesterday. I've looked at a few PDR sites and there are worse dents that they have taken care of so I wanted to get a few opinions and possibly some referrals if you know if any good PDR guys.

It's gonna need paint, it looks like the clear is cracked around the dent. You could probably get in there with your hand and push it back out, it's plastic right?

I don't mind the paint, I just want the dent gone. I wanted to get the front bumper rhino-lined along with the bed anyways.

I'll get in there tomorrow and see if I can push it back out, since its plastic I don't think it will be that big a deal.

ok your bumper cover is most likely made out of polypropylene... your clear is not cracked, the white scratches in the center of the tension area(dent) are in the clear coat, and most likey can be removed by polishing(time intensive), same with the outer ring, but you do have some gashes that went through the clear, specifically of the part of the dent closest to the tire. take some time and carefully look at it, it looks like you are driving a pretty new car, if your bumpers are made out of plastic, you can push the dent out yourself

That is good to hear, its a 06 titan I got last week. My wife thinks its pretty funny for me to still have the paper tags and a nice dent in the front bumper.

That won't be PDR, but you can get most of it out yourself. Like you said, push it out then take your hair dryer and warm it up, then push the high spots until they relax.

Or PM me and I can do it. I do PDR and paint and body work.

Its all good. I pushed it out after it was in the sunlight all morning. Washed the area pretty well, hit it with some cleaner wax, then claybar, then a polish. Its black underneath the paint so its very hard to tell where the paint got scratched off. A bit of touchup will take care of that.

Its pretty tough to see and with a bit more time I could probably have it look like it was never there. I'm very pleased with the results since it literally only took 15 minutes of my time. I just hope that the fool who hit me has more to deal with on their vehicle.
