Washing the motor?

How is the best way to wash the motor out? Everything, and i mean everything under the hood of my g/f's T/A is fuggin filthy. I don't want to screw up and sensors, or anything else that isn't supposed to get wet, but it needs to be cleaned somehow.

On my TA I just spray on Simple Green or CD2 Engine cleaner on a warm NOT hot motor.. let it sit for 5 mins and hose it off.. After hosing it off I dry it with a leaf blower. The rest will dry on its own. Don't worry about getting sensors or electronic parts messed up.

Only thing you need to cover is the alternator with a plastic bag and buy some that engine cleaner at Wal-mart. Take it to the pressure washer and go to town

I always use the engine cleaner they have at the car wash. Let it soak for a minute or so, and they spray it down with water..
