When I got that many, I had my insurance take care of it - any body shop does it for $100 or less . . . I'd stick with hookups on the board since I just found out my rates slightly increased . . . what is it w/ insurance companies? You pay them all this money and when you need something fixed they hike your rates . . . sorry for my rant

my regards

Buy the do-it-yourself kit at Vatozone or PepBoys first. Try that for $19.95. If it doesn't work for you, then spend the $50 per dent.

That's what I did to my son's truck. Worked great, but not 100% absolutely gone. I was told that's because the metal has stretched when the original dent went in and you won't be able to completely undo it.

what im worried about is when i call one of those skeezy dirtbags in the phone book, they will show up with one of those pops-a-dent bullshit things then say ok you owe me 100 bucks. Its just one small doording on my front fender, no paint transfer or anything.

That's why I tried the $19.95 option first.

methods for pdr

I've been told about a couple of methods for getting at the dents (in the doors) which kinda bother me...

One method, my preffered method I guess, is for them to remove the doorpanel to get at the dent. As long as were not talking about the brittle door panels on an old fox body, this gets my vote.

I've also heard of them going in through the seam in the window, using little wedges to give enough room to work with. I would think that this would stretch the window frame and eventually spawn the dreaded "door rattles when closing w/ window partially rolled down"

A third option, which they used to do but is no longer acceptable is drilling holes in the door seam to gain access.

Anyone else concerned w/ this, or am I overthinking this thing?
