paint matching on a fact. paint job?

ive got a '98 rio red GT. we bought the car used earlier this year with a fairly minor paint defect. the front of the hood has some sort of shading(has a lighter or darker red in some parts) issue and sicne we bought the car from an auction we dont know what caused it. the rest of the paint is in perfect condition just a a few issues with the front of the hood. does anyone know if (since it is factory paint) somewhere like maaco or maybe a dealership can match the color and touch it up? id rather not fork out dough for a whole new paint job espcially since the rest of it is in such good condition

Any good bodyshop can match it and paint the spots for you. With bodywork, you pay for what you get.

That color is not hard to match. If you have a darker/lighter spot on the hood it is more than likely been touched up at the auction or a used car lot. I think the code is E8. I painted a cobra hood for someone here on the board that color about 2 months ago.
