Clay to clean chrome wheels.

I had a film on my chrome wheels that would not wash off. I have chrome polish but it is abrasive and a little messy. I was claying the paint and decided to try the clay on the wheels. It removed all the haze and they look like new.

interesting...I may have to try this. I used Blue Magic about 6 months ago and it did an excellent job of getting overspray off. I've also heard of people claying the windshield....you ever done this?

I actually JUST today bought this stuff called "Clay Magic" it was recommended to me. Im going to use it this weekend on my car. These dipshits here at my apt complex resprayed the buildings and i got overspray finely all over my car, the finish feels like sandpaper.

That stuff is awesome you'll love it. If you bought JUST the bar make sure you get a squirt bottle and mix car cleaning soap with water and spray it on before you clay it or you'll leave clay streaks on your paint. Make sure what you're claying is wet at all times.

Nah I got the whole kit. The spray and clay bar. I plan on it being a long process. Wash completely, then clay it. I'll snap some pics of it when Im done.

It's not THAT bad. Depends one what shape the paint is in. The first time you do it it'll be a little time consuming but after that you can just go over it once or twice a month and it wont take as long. When you run out of the spray that comes with the kit then just do what I told you with the car soap, that way you don't have to go and buy a bottle everytime you do it.

Make sure you wash(real good), then clay, and then wax. And when you get done, you'll wonder why you haden't done it earlier.

Was it The Landing at Bear Creek that was painting?

I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.
