Painting Bike Fairings.???

I just got a 96 Bandit 600 and the dude i bought it from painted over the current color (red) and painted it (the 2 rear fairing pieces) Black. of course just standard spray paint and of course it has began to rub off so there are some red marks that are shining through. EWW! I'd like to paint it myself. I think im pretty damn good with a spray can. But if someplace can do it for cheap that would kickass. If i spray it myself is there some sort of clear coat that i can spray over the gloss black that i will spray on there?

What would you all do?
