What wax to use for Black vehicles?

I have a 2004 Chevy Z-71 that is Black. I have had it now for 9 months and need to give her her first detail. What wax do I need to use so that I will not have any swirl marks left in the clearcoat after waxing?

Any help will be appreciated.

Meguiar's, Zaino or Tropi Care will the the consensus. But, it's not the wax that inflicts swirl marks...it's your wash method, the type of towel/mitt you use and can even be caused by removing wax with a towel that's too coarse. Also, the dirtier you let the surface get, the more prone you'll be to get scratches in the clear coat.

<- not a fan of wax-as-u-dry
meguiars show car glaze and hi tech yellow wax are my favorite and what i use. I never use a buffer, it all gets done by hand. from what i've seen, Zaino will probably be better for reflections... i just use what i have been using since the beginning and what i'm used to, and am happy with the results i get. 3M makes good compounds for removing swirls. A buffer will do the trick...

This is actually a better example. If you look closely around the flash, you can see the swirls. At best, the wax-as-you-dry or most waxes in general just fills them in. It would have to contain some abrasives in order to remove swirls(defects).

NXT is good but doesnt last very long... Try some poorboys ex-p and nattys paste wax. After you clay it and polish it of course. Zaino is just too damn complicated compared to other products that are much easier to use and produce similar or better results.

In other words, if you wanna go through the "hassle" of ordering it online, while you wait try the NXT stuff....

Zaino . . . Is there any other product that not only beads the water when you wash your car, but also beads up the SOAP??? Not only does is protect and shine like crazy, but it makes Cleaning a snap.

So are there any places locally where you can get Zaino, or do you have to go their website?
