I wasnt able to take any before pics because of the weather. Z2 is one of Zainos polishes, its a synthetic polymer. I used Meguirs in the pas but only use Zaino now.

When I got laid off last year and thought about starting a detailing business. I did detailing for about 2 months and made some decent money. Word of mouth will get a ton of business with higher value cars and people

Dishsoap scares me but i guess if you used it on you're SS then it's not bad.

You have to get ride of any other waxes or oils on your paint, Dawn has a high alkaline content that cuts through them the best. I definitly dont recommend washing your car with dish soap any other time. Its part of the prepping process.

Dawn is the only liquid dish soap I would use. Like YoBro said only use it as a prepping step. This would be whenever you want to completely strip your wax/polish job and start all over. I highly recommend that you use dawn *only dawn* and then clay bar your car to remove bonded containaments. I just sold my 93 gt vert i've got some pics if your interested of it detailed. Gonna do my new cherokee this weekend. I've been using meguiars prof products and meg's NXT wax which i really like. I've got some 3M show car product that does nice work too. I'm away at school now but if your interested maybe I can detail it for you. Just shoot me a PM.

looks sweet man!! I am about to do mine, it has been sitting for 6 months and has only been washed twice, so it needs it really bad. i wash with dawn, rinse, wash again with dawn, rinse, wash a third time with Meguiars...damn cant remember the name of the soap i use from meguiars.....then color wax with that turtle color wax, then was again with meguiars wax. Then I use Mothers Chrome Polish on the badges, and on the lips of my rims (they are black with polished lip). Dry it off with a shimmy, and i am good to go

I highly recommend a clay bar or some kind of product to clean the surface. You need to go a step ahead of just washing. The finish wont be great unless you prep the surface before you add any kind of waxes. Especially sitting that long
