Creatine and caffeine

Can someone please tell me if they affect one another? After reading several books and countless web sites, I can't get a straight anwser.

Yes.

Creatine works by increasing the water uptake of muscle
cells. Caffeine has a dehydrating effect, so large amounts of
caffeine can decrease the effectiveness of the creatine.

yah, thats the WORST part about taking creatine, but thankfully they have caffiene free dr. pepper and caffiene free coca cola, which both taste great, buy some of those if you need a replacement.
