You ever feel small for no real reason?

I'm by no means big, but I get these feelings of being small, even though I'm usually taller and thicker than 90% of the people I'm around. I think it's just a subconscious mental block to push myself... I know that at 6'1 200 I'm quite a bit bigger than the 'average' male, but I still feel small everyonce in a while.

Tex I get the same feeling all the time especially in the gym (here at UT, so there are a lot of people). I'm about 6' @ 170-175 lbs and very self conscious about what I look like, and probably a little paranoid. I really don't know what it is but every time I walk to the weights or a machine in the gym and just look around at everyone lifting I see a minimum of 5 people (not exagerating) looking at me. I wish I could read their freaking minds because I don't know if I should take it as a compliment or just blow them off as just looking around like I am.

I also get the same looks just walking around campus everyday.

<--paranoid from highschool, when I was a bit chubby and didn't have many friends

WOW! 6'4 215 is pretty damn scrawny to be barbell curling more than most body builders! I'm impressed that you work out with more weight than Jay Cutler or Paul Dillet! Dipshit.

A) Because his (internet) 6'4, 215lb frame isn't big enough to compare to your 5'7 245 frame.

B) The fucker doesn't have an honest bone in his body, remember him and his 1000hp daily driver? Well this is his version of a body.

Just like losing a race makes you want to go out and mod your car, but if you don't race then you have nothing to worry about. Thus if you don't want to weightlift then so be it, if you do want to weightlift....more power to you.

Now cut the shit, if you feel good about yourself then why do anything ? if you want to be better than you are now...That is why you should workout, that is motivation.

I have similar feelings, but the total opposite reason... About a year ago i was 5'10" and 280... I'm now 5'11 and 200... Not exactly "built or swole" as some would say, but i still think/feel fat. I still have the same insecurities I had before. But I've come to realize that it really is just a head game that you play with yourself, or at least for me it is. I've always had confidence/security problems with myself, hence loosing well in the range of 75-80lbs in less than a year with just a big change in eating habits and getting off my ass. It takes the same mind game to quit worrying about yourself. You have to think "you're the shit" and you'll stop. Or at least that's what I've been told... Hasn't worked for me yet. : \
