Working out when sick?

I read before that if you have a head cold then it is ok to continue to work out but if it has moved into your chest you should lay off the workouts untill you are better.

I have a bad cold/sinus issues and maybe a little bit into my chest , but mostly it hurts inside my left ear all the way yo my throat every time I swallow. And the glands on my left side of my neck are really swolen and painful. tomorrow is workout night , should I put it off of go ahead?

Experience tells me that you need to take a few days off. Your immune system is busy repairing the damage and doesn't need to worry about whatever muscle group you plan to hit as well. It's very unlikely that you would do anything positive in the gym until you are back to 100% anyway. Do some light cardio if you absolutely can't live without exercise for a few days, but I'd recommend lot's of rest until you are back on top of your game.

Well, my partner couldn't make it Friday so I didn't do anything then, and today I did some laundry and that wore me out, so I think I'll be missing tonight's workout for sure after that.

If you feel sick at all you should not work out like Got boost said. Your body is trying to fight off the virus. By working out you are causing your body to fight 2 battles at once. Working out while sick is pointless because IMO you will see no gains that way and you may even make yourself sick longer.
