In the mean time, a good regimen of situps, pushups, dips, bodyweight squats, etc. is a decent way to gain a little tone. That's actually how I got started into the whole fitness game. Back in highschool I'd come home and whatever my chubby little body would handle. You won't put on much weight, but it's a good way to get yourself motivated, and to get your body into the swing of things.
