Muscle bruise

HELP!!!! I was playing soccer with some kids at my school that I teach and one of the little "no playing soccer, no eye-foot coordination, etc." kids hauled off and nailed my calf. I mean he kicked me like he was kicking the winning field goal in the Superbowl. I wouldn't be mad if he was trying to kick the ball and missed, but I was shielding the ball with my right foot and it was like 3 feet away from him when he kicked me and the ball was not even moving toward him. My nornal reaction in one of my games is to turn and swing and hit someone. Luckily I didn't!!! Anyway, it hurts like crap and it happened 3 hours ago, and I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. I'm not one of those "wimpy" girls.

It's been a while since I had to nurse a bruise, but I imagine that ice would help and a little rest tpo give it time to heal itself.

...and get another set of shin pads to wear on the bakside of you legs incase one of the little rug rats hasn't had enough of ya yet.

In this case, I just need to put a little mineral ice on it and rub some of the soarness out. I don't wear shinguards during the PE classes that I teach. However, tomorrow I am going to make sure I play on the opposite team as him. He'll be more careful after his next experience.

LOL!! Well, he will learn to not kick people when the ball is no where near them. If I am lucky he will play goalie.

Yeah, but I think in this case that my calf muscle tightened up as soon as he hit me. If I ice it, then it will stay tight, but if I can get the muscle to relax, then it may end up not even hurting in the morning.
