If I just ate carbs in the AM and none after 12pm would I............

.........lose fat and not too much muscle?

Especially if I get enough protein in food and supplements?

Body builders use the low-carb diet for pre-contest prep all the time. It's a good way to reduce bodyfat without sacrificing too much muscle. I personally am getting well over 50% of my calories from lean protien, and though the bodyfat is dropping (oh so slowly because I've kept my calories fairly high for a diet), I am actually getting stronger while losing that body-fat. I don't think your 12 o'clock rule is good though, your body will need a few carbs in each meal to pick up your metabolism and allow you to get that protien into the muscles. I could also see your workouts suffer, as your energy will drop pretty quickly after your last carb meal. I'd suggest keeping the carbs low, but spread them out throughout all of your meals with the exception of your last. Make sure you only eat complex carbs later in the day and eat your breads and rice at lunch or before. This will keep your enegy up a little better throughout the day and still facilitate fat-loss.

My membership expired at Ballys this month. (man i hated the company) and I'm checking out Sportsridge Athletic club today.

If there's a 24 Hour Fitness anywhere neaby, you might wanna check them out too. I've been going to mine closing on 5 years now without any problems.
