Starting to workout... what suppliments?

Well, from what I read, Creatine is the way to go, along with whey protein. Does anyone recommend this method? Do you recommend brands on the creatine or certain types? Where do you buy your suppliments?

if you are just starting (like me) from what I can tell, been told and what I started trying. Creatine and whey protein is the way to go. Check Massquantities.com if you are looking for that stuff. When you get really advanced take a trip to proteinfactory.com, there you can mix your own % protein shakes, including creatine, vitamins, and bovine serum. Check the sit, it's pretty cool.

Nutri-Zone (Nutri-Sport) in North Richland Hills off Rufe Snow by 24 Hour Fitness and Hilltop Chinese. The guys there know their shit and won't sell you stuff you don't need. It is a private business and their prices are better than I have seen.

Protien powder is an absolute must, and creatine is a good addition to get you started off. One "supplement" that people don't really value like they should is a lifting partner of a similar training background and strenth. You don't have to be exactly the same size, but as long as you both can handle what will be necessary to spot the other, that's fine. You will be able to share training tips and methods, and you can both bring new things to each others program to keep things interesting and motivational. Also, a trusted spot is invaluable to anyone trying to keep intensity in their workout. You can force those last couple of reps without fear of getting stuck or hurt (using proper form of course). You also have someone to set goals with, and somebody who won't put up with your excuses for not reaching them. It's also alot easier to get off your butt and get in there on low energy days when you know someone is counting on you.

well, I went on a trip to gnc and talked to they guy and he suggested some weight gainer which with 2 cups of powder and 2 cups of milk, I get around 50g protien, 200g carbs, and around 1400 calories. He said if I want to gain wait, then calories is a must. Will this and creatine be good?

Just get to know your metabolism and watch your calories, you want to gain lean mass, not fat. 1400 calories is alot to try to absorb in one meal so I'd suggest halving that "recipe". Drink one half atleast 30 minute prior to your workout and the other half immediately (no later than 30 minutes) following your workout. Add another half a couple hours after breakfast and/or one right before bed. That being said, weightgainer should not be used as a meal replacement when trying to gain size and strength, the idea is to add calories, not replace them, so make sure your are still getting a base diet of lean meats, complex carbs, fruits, and veggies.
