Question How has weight training made you life easier?

I found that it's cool to be kinda strong.

Picking up my daughter is a cinch.

Taking out the trash.

Working on the car.

I had to put the A4 on the car that I'm working on, back on the jack so I could bolt it back up.

The problem is that the tranny won't slide under the car on the jack. So once I slide the tranny under the car I have to lift it up to get on the jack.

So I lay under the car from the front of the car on my back with my head to the bell housing. I reach back and grab the bellhousing and lift up while my mom slid the jack under the tranny.

I recommend strength training to everyone.

I feel more independant.
I have to really less on someone bigger and stronger than me to do normal functions like moving things or opening jars.

I have a better self image of my figure. Its by far not perfect but I feel weight training makes me feel better and more comfortalbe with my apearance.

Its a great stress reliever. I can contemplate and think about my day with clarity. Its good "me" time.

It's a great self-confidence booster too. Achieving goals in the gym transcends into tthe goals elswhere in your life. Being able to walk a couple flights of stairs without getting winded is kinda cool too.

It helps me bench press my car off my chest when it falls off the jack stands.haha I like to go to the gym and just concentrate on lifting and achieving personal goals for myself. It takes my mind off of everything else and it just feels relaxing.

I just started back up since I'm going to college down in Austin. I have to seriously say that my main goal ISN'T trying to look better for the girls. I just feel that looking good to myself and being able to do something (ie. large quantities of weights) that I wasn't able to really lifts the self-esteem .

Gonna start kickin' some ass soon
