Breakfast

What are some god ideas for breakfast first thing in the morning? I'm switching form dieting to attempting to build mass. I am hearing that I rely too much on protein shakes and should lean mroe towards getting my protein from actual foods. I am new at this part so any advice would be great.

Thanks for the help.

I eat one hard-boiled egg and a half cup (when un-cooked) of oatmeal, mixed with a scoop of protien powder and a tablespoon of honey.

This is not personel experience but from what i have read the last couple of mths.

Most people eat between 2-5 egg whites (hard boiled) and a cup of oatmeal or grits.
-now Keep in mind these people are already in shape and just looking to add mass

LOL! I was going to suggest the same... my FAVORITE breakfast... and usually my only GOOD meal of the day.

3-4 egg whites (in the form of egg beaters), oatmeal (or sometimes pancakes), mixed fruit and some canadian bacon.

On my long run days (12+ miles, usually Saturday) I treat myself to a Denny's Grand Slam Slugger with eggs (still egg beaters), bacon, sausage, pancakes and hash browns...
