My new toy

Timex Ironman Speed+Distance

Cool watch. Has a GPS transmitter you strap on your arm, lets you know your speed and distance. Max speed display is up to 450 MPH, so I'll check out the ol' Cobra's speedo as well!

Will be nice to run a new route (it gets boring running the same damn thing everyday) and also when I go out of town (frequently) and need to figure out my distance.

In the stores around Dallas, the 100 lap version is 250.

But, on the web, I found it for 150 + 4 shipping with no sales tax. (Justifying it now!). My parents still send me money in my birthday card. For whatever reason, my in-laws decided to "keep up with Joneses" so, they send some too. So, in reality it was free.

Yep, I'm digging this one.

When I trace a trail with the Tahoe, then with the Mustang I vary about an 1/8th of a mile.

Sometimes, though, that is a good thing. I'm pretty sure both are measuring a tad less than a mile when measuring a mile. Always a nice suprise in a race when you find out your 6:30 miles are actually 6:15 miles!

Tanita

Don't know if they are all that accurate, because it depends alot on your hydration levels when you take a reading. But... you should get a very good ball park over a couple of days. Easiest of all the methods for the home.

Expect some bucks though, they run about 60-70-80 upwards to 100.
