As for the effects on muscle growth.. I havent read any studies about it and its effects but im sure that it will hinder some. Ive heard from friends that when you work out the day after a bowl or whatever your heartrate is a little lower and they dont feel like they get the workout they are capable of getting. Sorry I cant be of more help.
