Start light in the gym and get as close to perfect form as you can. This will give your joints some time to strengthen and get accustomed to the new found stresses of the gym. Like your muscles, your joints need time to strengthen, so don't go hard and heavy right off the bat, you'll hurt something. Patience and slow progress is the key.

If you can stomach the price, glucosamine supplements may help. Its the only supplement I normally take now.

Good luck and go easy!

Also Omega-3 fatty acids help as well. More so aleviates wear and tear where as the glucosamine helps rebuilding.

Solutions for joint pain arent overnight cures unless you're downing motrin and such. I see quite a few arthritis patients take Omega-3 and glucosamine and work in the long run. Give the glucosamine and omega-3 some time to work. If ya can't stomach tuna or salmon, you can take fish oil/ omega-3 capsules.

And like the fellas mentioned...don't set your mode on kill, kill ,kill... ease back into it.
