Question Work out Times

Alright I dont now if this questions has been posted before? But I have been curious when is the most effective time of day to work out? I currently work the Midnight shift from 9:30pm to 6:00am and was'nt sure if it would more effective to lose weight in the late Evening before I go to work or right after I get off from work? Any infromation will be helpfull.

Thanks

I have found it to be more effective to do cardio at the beginning of you day, as it boosts metabolism for quite some time following the actual exercise. Exercising after work isn't bad, but you could possibly be fighting to go to sleep if you workout late enough, and once you are asleep, your metabolic rate drops substantially, curbing all fat-loss. Regardless of the time of day (given that you are working nights), I'd suggest doing cardio right after you wake up and before "breakfast", or as soon after you get off of work as possible.

whenever you wake upis the best time because your stomach has been fasting while you slept and when you work out it forces your metabolism to metabolize the fat on your body

A little twist to this... common theory is that since you don't have any glycogen in your system, your body will readily use fat for energy. This is not the case. You will being buring lean mass.

Efficient fat metabolism requires normal levels of blood sugar. When glucose levels are low, fat cannot be metabolized to compensate.

If you want to exercise when you get up and before breakfast, at least take in a glass of OJ.
