creatine supplementation

I weigh 250 pounds and bodybuilding.com says to load with 34 grams for 5-7 days and then 3-5 grams per day afterwards... does 34 sound right.. i have always heard not to do more than 10 grams a day.. is 34 safe for 5-7 days?

Pretty much any creatine supp will tell you on the bottle how much to load with and how long. I'm pretty sure even a jug of pure creatine mono will have this info. Go with what it says.

It's safe if you like kidney stones.

There is a lot of research out there that says loading is not necessary since most of it gets pissed aways when over consumed. For your weight you can benefit from just taking 3 to 5 grams per day.
