shakes for lunch ?

I'm thinking of taking a whey shake for lunch instead of eat solid food. I'm going to start running/lifting and wonder which shake would be better to take during lunch- whey/protein/casein. Also trying to gain a bit more mass.

Whole food is better than a shake any day of the week. A shake is good for a mid meal replacement at best. Or a shake with some food if you are trying to bulk up.

I just alternate shake, food, shake, food, shake , food. shake. It's been working very well. I try to get half my protein from solid food but it's alot of eating getting 250g+ of protein a day.

The only time I'd replace a meal with a shake would be maybe breakfast. Like somebody said, they're better as a between meal snack.

I read that where its a better inbetween meal. But I was also thinking it would also cut my lunch cost in half instead of eating out. But I think I will try one day solid food next day shake. I may try the new bcaa from usplab

just add a shitload of oats and some peanutbutter, theres your meal in a shake lol. I even add a scoop of protein powder when I eat cereal in the mornings.
