Alot of people will never realize what it is to earn rank in BJJ because they don't stick it out. The hard work and dedication it takes to spend countless hours on the mat making the smallest details reflex rather than just memorized technique. White to blue is one of the hardest hurdles to overcome in BJJ. Getting into shape, learning the basics while training against a bunch of guys who already know what you are trying to get.
It's not easy, it's not for everyone and that is what makes it great. If it was easy, they would call it Tae Kwon Do.
Thanks J. Of all the ranks I have achieved in martial arts in my life, my BJJ ones will be the ones I am most proud of. They are the hardest to achieve and most rewarding.
