I had an epiphany!
I've been a new member of 24 Hour Fitness for less than a week, and have been to 3 different gyms in that time.
Yesterday I was at the one in Lewisville while my son was in an acting class.
As I looked around the free weight room, it hit me that it's just like the other ones I've recently been to.
And then it hit me.
"24 Hour Fitness" in the ancient Latin language must translate to "don't bother racking your weights when you are done".
I swear I had to strip shit off of every fucking rack that I used. And since when do people need to use anything under a quarter when doing legs? If you have to put a 5'er on the leg press, you're wasting your time. When I took over the machine, I had to take a 5, 10, and a 25 off to get to the only 45 lb plate to start off with.
Come on people, if you finish with a machine, rack your shit! I guess some people are strong enough to load it, but not strong enough to unload it.
I guess gym etiquette died in the 90's....
