When you make a statement, and pause with "but" in the middle... that indicates you're about to say what you really mean and everything said prior to the "but" was just bullshit LOL!

Dude you are crazy strong.. How do you make your arms thick like that? Im working on em but they seem to be getting depth and not width. Does that just come with years of lifting or is there a excercise you do to make them wide?

It's part genetics, and part muscle size (which does take years of dediated training and diet). Just like you can't spot-reduce bodyfat, there's not specific exercises that affect your over-all proportions. That's like asking if there is an exercise to make you taller, are have green eyes. You can make your muscles bigger or smaller, but how they are shaped is genetically predisposed.

Take a look at the pros for example, they are all at the limit in terms of size, but each and every one of them looks different due to bone structure and other genetic factors.

Haha I get it Thanks! I'm still new to all this. Never had a trainer or actually shown propper technique other then youtube videos.. I watch people at the gym and you can obviously tell who knows what they are doing and just mimic them as best I can. Just this week I realized I've been neglecting my inner upper tricep muscle this whole time..

I do think I have the genetics to build some pretty good size lean mass. I've come pretty far for just 19 months! Not only leaned out a shit ton but gained lean mass and strength in every area while leaning. I'm still on a 3300 cal a day diet. When I can start doing 5-6k cal a day I think I will just blow up! maybe?

Well the good thing is that triceps are a secondary muscle group when doing exercises like the 3 bench presses, military press, dips, any any other compound movement using the arms. You haven't completely neglected them, they are still growing, you just haven't been isolating them to bring out their full potential.

Thanks guys,

I weighed 218 for this event. I would have normally cut to 198 but i to many things were going on before the event.
I was in swift water rescue school the whole week before the event on 12hr days in the water and i rolled my ankle really bad in school three days before the meet. It's still black and blue. A lot of tape and pain killers worked for me. haha

The hair is just for the psyche you know... I kind of like it!

APF? What gear are you using? I'm not real familiar with Inzer stuff. Have you experimented with arching more or using more leg drive while benching? I know it doesn't work for everybody but it worked for me. Lifts looked good.

Thanks for the kind words! My arms were always pretty small and having a very small bone structure didnt help matters. I never did biceps much being in powerlifting. This last year i started hitting them hard to catch up to my triceps and they've grown quite a bit. Heavy, Heavy Tricep work is the best advice i have.

I'm not trying to take anything away from her actually being there and supporting him. I'm just wondering if she talks to you in bed like she does at 20sec into the squat vid "C'mon baby, get it up, get it up!".... LOL!

Anyway, it's good to see someone who can complete a full rep. I'm sure you use the same form and technique in the gym, and others should take notice and emulate you.

I'm getting tired of seeing all the gym goers that think they can move the weight a whole 4-5" and think it's a complete rep. Nowadays it just matters how much weight you can barely push. Is it something the rags (magazines) are pushing?

Honestly i just got that shirt and only had it on 3 times. I pressed 435 raw two weeks before the meet. I need more time in the shirt and i'll be able to do at least 520. A suit doesnt help on deadlift.
