Where can I find some second had arm and leg weights?

As the title says....

Out of all you body buffs, I know at least one of y'all can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for a basic weight set. Something I can work with at home until I'm able to join a gym anyway.

I'm looking for anything that can be used for arms and legs. Primarily upper body though. My legs aren't in bad shape, but my upper body has the strength of a 2 year old. My mom suggests jogging with a can of veggies in each hand...and I flat out refuse to run with canned goods LMAO!!!!

I wouldn't mind having those ankle weights to wear during my run though. Anyone know of a good place to search for these items? I checked out ....yes, Wal-mart, and there was nothing worth looking at, but I did pickup a jump rope.

Play It Again Sports.....or just get you one of those elastic bands/sergical tubing type things. I think they can be had for about $10-$20 at Academy. You can do several exercises with them. The cheapest and really effective way to work out is using your own body weight. There are tons of varieties of sit-up, push-ups, squats, etc. that you can do at home with no weights, or using the sergical tubing to increase resistance. Hell, the P90X program hardly uses any weights at all.

I have 11 dvds headed my way at this very moment

Perhaps I should hold off until I get the dvds?

they recomend weights or the resistance bands....the weights are expensive since you need a variety of them due to the different exercises and progression of getting stronger throughout the program. I did it with resistance bands and it works fine.

If you are going to do the P90X though, I would invest in one of those pull-up bars you can put in a doorway. You will get a lot of use out of it. That is an excellent program if you can stick with it. I did it for about 5 weeks and made some good progress, but then the physicallity of it along with the strict diet took its toll and my weak will power took over, so I joined a gym again becuase it gets me out of the house too.
