Goal complete

17 months of dieting and training like a professional athlete and I'm finally done. It's all maintainance from now on with lifting and always eating right. I haven't had huge lifting gains this whole time but I can tell I've put on alot of lean mass, more then I've ever had before. If anyone needs advice and is having trouble, I'd be happy to give advice. If you have dedication you can do it.

Started @ around 390 lbs Jan 1st 2009.

Finished @ 202 lbs June 9th 2010.Attachment 98514

Great job man. I'm 6'1'' and 215 so I'm by no means fat but I would like to lean up and get in better shape. My issue is motivation. I bought everything to start P90X and it sat there for about 2 months then I sold it all to my cousin. (he isn't doing it either)

do you work out alone or do you have a work out buddy

I find working out alone makes my intensity go up. When I'm with a buddy I can't help but bullshit and talk about girls....I try to keep my heart rate up through lifting to burn more calories and fat. The only day I wish I had a spot is on chest days lol.

guess I'm just not motivated enough yet. or I'm just too damn lazy.

I started doing push ups at one point and did them twice a day for a week straight... I started out only being able to do 2 or 3 (seriously) and by the end of the week I could do 10 - 11

but I got bored I guess and just stopped

I need someone to kick me in the ass and make me work out.

Started out workingout every other day along with a 1500 cal a day diet. High rep workout, medium weight. With that I lost 100 lbs in 6 months and trained my body for the next logical step.

Then, at 290 lbs I got a gym membership. Started a high protein diet and threw in 30 min of cardio a day. So about 1 1/2 hour at the gym every day and intaking about 2500 cal and 80g of carbs a day. I did that untill about 240 lbs.

Last I wanted to really focus on leaning up but at the same time building enough lean mass that I wouldn't have really bad loose skin. I started running 5-7 miles every day and started lifting 2 hours 6 days a week. With all the cardio I started to do as heavy weight as I could go without a spotter and still go 10-12 reps @ 5 sets. I work 2 body parts a day and give them 72 hours to rest before I hit them again. At this point I'm eating all day, drinking shakes, eating steaks and chicken breasts. 4500 calories a day and I'm still losing weight. On bulk weeks I go up to 300-400g of carbs a day and 300 g of protein. Leaning out weeks 80-100g of carbs and 250g of protein. I switch up every two weeks or so.

Damn man. I wouldn't recognize you on the street. Good job man.

Everyone else, this guy officially kills all your excuses. I grew up with him and he was big his whole life, his brothers and parents as well. He started out bigger than most of you at your worst and look at him now. He looks better than me and I have been in good shape most of my life. Good job bro. Unbelievable.

Wow, a true inspiration! Great job! I have been going to the gym for 6 months now but my conditions are less than ideal, so progress has been slow for me.

you need to start selling avocare or some bullshit like that. the heavyweights mom on my wrestling team was a big ole gal and she got all hard core and did a huge body transformation like you. she had a good job i think making like 80k a year and she started selling this avocare or advocare out of her house for extra money. she would just go up to people and show them her pics and tell them about the products and if i remember in less than a year she had quit her job and was making more selling supplements.

No, I've never had 1 training session. 50% of my info came from the people in this forum who reply to my threads lol.
It's not hard to learn correct form so you don't cheat yourself in the gym. Just watch the relly fit guys or girls and mimic what they do. Internet is all the personal trainer you will ever need.

You have to remember - the first 2 weeks of anything is HELL. Get through that and your body begins to alter the way it accepts challenges.

Is the 10-11 where you fail and can do no more, period?

Great job man! I'm not able to workout and train near as hard as you do since I have a full time job and I go to school. (Maybe that's a shitty excuse, I don't know)

However, back on May 6th, after the spring semester was over for me I got on the scale and was shocked. I tipped the scale at 334!! So I said enough was enough. I am changing my lifestyle in the way that I eat and I am working out as well. I began bicycling mixing road biking and trail riding. It has kicked my ass but I am happy to say that I am stronger because of it.

I weighed myself today and have managed to lose a total of 24 pounds since I started! I am nowhere near done and I really don't have a goal for weight loss. Ok....yes I do! I just want to lose the weight, and keep it off dammit! What scares me is that last year I managed to lose 40 pound however laziness and poor excuses kicked in and put it all back on. I'll be damned if that happens this time!

This is fucking inspiring man. I've been having some really bad GI issues that have caused me to put on some of the weight I lost a couple years back. Went from 280 to 180...now I'm back to 220 and hating it. Seeing what you did makes me think I can work past my stomach issues and get fit again. Thanks man!
