pulled thigh muscle FTL. Whats the best way to take care of it?

Iv been told all kinds of different stuff so far. Iv heard to put ice on it, put heat on it, take it easy and prop the leg up for a day, walk around a lot to get it loose, etc...
What's the best way to take care of it?

I tore my rotator cuff 3 months ago.. It's better now but still slips out of socket at least once a day..

Now I have a leg injury as well from all the running.. Been off it 4 days now and it still hurts..

I'd say just work around it a few days untill it feels better or you might really tear something up. If it's still fucked up after 4-5 days you know you have a real injury.

I worked out when I tore my rotator cuff and it was tolerable with medium weights. But with my leg, there's no way I could go run 5 miles today like I usually do.

I'll repost what I put in the other thread:

First 72 hrs: rest, ice, compress, elevate

After: heat, gentle massage, loose wrap

NP man, I was wondering what it was doing in there

I've pulled my quad before and it fuckin sucks, that's all there is to it. I pulled it while running track in high school, and had to miss damn near a whole season letting it heal. Took forever for it to feel right again. My biggest mistake was repeatedly trying to push it and not letting it heal fully, I kept re-injuring it.
