i need a GOOD ankle brace.

i guess i'll post this in here... where can i go to get a GOOD atheltic ankle brace? i dont need a cheap one from walmart or sports academy. i want to start playing softball, raquet ball and football again and as of right now my ankle just isn't up to the challenge.

didnt dawn on me to order online.... so i guess now my suggestion is does anyone have recommendation on a specfic brand??

I got one from an orthopedic doc. It was pretty helpful with my bad ankle. It didn't really bother me and it fit well. Of course, I didn't do alot of pricing and comparing like you are. I used it for a couple of seasons in softball. I will see what brand it is when I get home.

I've worn the hinged units in the past, and HATED them. They chafe like a mofo, and IMO are too restrictive. This is what I preferred after tearing ligaments in both ankles.
