well im trying again to lose weight..

my fiancee works for a family clinic at presby dallas and they have this ideal protein diet that people have lost major weight fast....todays my second day on it and ive gotta stick to it...i wanna lose about 40 pounds before my wedding...on this diet they say its possible so wish me luck guys..ive already quit drinking sodas..ive switched to tea w/splenda..water with lemon and the shakes that are part of the deals...

breakfeast
im allowed coffee/tea/water in morning along with one shake...

lunch
all i can eat greens, grilled chicken/fish
2 cups of veggies

one shake and snack until dinner

dinner
grilled fish or grilled chicken with veggies
or the specific meals (chili,pasta,etc.)

snacks
they have specific candy bars and chips, pudding

ive personally seen guys and women lose the weight drastically so hopefully it works for me..anyone wants to try let me know..

beginning weight in 305 3-17-2010 i will update each week...

Looking for a 1986 mustang gt....

Sounds like a decently well-balanced diet. Dayum Chris, 300lbs+?!

Sounds like a keto diet or some variation of it. You will lose major weight if you stick to it, it's very effective at getting rid of fat.

Yeah, that extra weight plays hell on the knees, but don't let that discourage you. Do low-impact cardio and count your calories until you get down to a manageable size. After that you can add the b-ball to get the rest of it off. Just realize the habits that got you up to where you are now, and avoid them like the plague. The wedding is a good short-term goal, but you've gotta stay vigilant or the home cooking and "comfort zone" will do you in.

Supplements will only help so much. Diet is the real key. I did a diet along somewhat similar lines to yours after a bulk to lose fat and it worked very nicely. I wasn't trying to lose a ton of weight, but the weight I did lose came off easily, about 1lb per week. Stick to it and you will definitely reap the benefits.

Best of luck to you bro. If you're doing cardio in the gym and want to get into running then check this program out, it's the couch to 5k running progam and it starts off easy with running 3 days a week. I'm on week 5 right and it's amazing how easy it's been for me.

Good luck! Once you realize how good you feel when the weight starts to come off you will stick with it. Don't give up! It's great that your fiance is into fitness & eating healthy. That helps alot!!!

Chris good luck on it bro. I was in the same boat. I weighed 225 3 months before going to Costa Rica last year and I was determined to lose weight. I ran EVERYDAY for 15 minutes which was about a mile and a half or more each time depending on the intensity and I lost 25lbs just by doing that, portions, and not drinking ANY softdrinks. It's been a year and 4 months since I've last had a soft drink. I'm now doing the P90X (took a stupid week off cuz I pulled my hamstring pretty bad) but I'm now down to 189 and trying to get down to my goal of 175. I feel great and went from a 38 to 34 and now pushing to get to the 32's. Just stick with it man and don't let anything or anyone else get in your "weigh".

Btw you can get the p90x stuff off CHINGOBLING here for $30. It's definately worth it man.

There's proof that a little exercise is better than none at all. Most of the weight loss cam from changes in your diet though, 15 minutes isn't long enough to burn through your glycogen stores, and get into the fat burning zone. I'm sure that it was great for motivation though, and raising your basal metabolic rate, which in turn burns more claories per day.

Yeah, I know that...to an extent. It has worked for me and I'm now doing something a little more intense.
