Over working?

The 2010 transformation contest starts in about a week and I'm getting my game plan together to get my ass back in shape. I'm planning on p90x first thing in the morning whenever I wake up before I eat breakfast. I'll put in about 45min at the gym on my lunch break (rotate cardio & weights) and then I'll finish the evening with either the 2nd set of p90x (some days have more to do at night) or with some work on the bowflex, if not a light run. Now with that being said, does anyone think that I'll be over working myself where I won't see results?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

Depending how fit you are, I would think thats a bit much. I started P90X today and 45 minutes of cardio gave me a nice work out. I plan on doing it again this evening. I am going to go run later as well, and maybe if Im not worn out, I will do some boxing. Food I have learned is the key, and they say that at least 3 times during the work out on P90X.

There are many people who follow the theory that overtraining is more a result of under eating. Biggest thing is to listen to your body. If you're losing energy, not recovering, and dropping weight too fast, you need more fuel and less work.

Just a reference: Amiripped .

My biggest concern is over working my muscles, I could be wrong but I'm guessing the p90x will give me more of a cardio workout where I can still go get a workout with the weights at work.

IMO, if you're trying to lean out, you don't need added lifting, but more cardio won't hurt. If you're trying to gain size, then you're approaching it all wrong.

The lifting will be less weight and more reps.

There is no such thing as over-working your muscles, only under-eating and under-resting.

meaning I'm not bulking, I'll just be maintaining. I'll burn more calories working out with weights then just doing cardio alone.
