Warrior Dash...

Anyone attending this, or attended in the past? Looks pretty fun, and free beer afterwards...http://www.warriordash.com/

I'm in the 1:00 heat. I signed up back in November. Got a bunch of friends going. Sign up for early heats, they say there are waits at the obstacles in the later heats.

Crap, I did the 3 o'clock heat, because I'm hoping to guarantee spots for some friends who I know will register late. Oh well, I'm sure I'll need the rest between obstacles anyways.

I signed me, my husband, and my sister-in-law up yesterday for the 10:30am wave. Like I said in the warrior dash thread in The Back Porch... I may die but I'll die trying!

What on Earth do you do to "train" for something like this? How physically fit do you really need to be to do well? And I wonder if you are NOT incredibly fit how long it takes to finish???

In - as far as the question above, in a lot of the pictures I've seen I hadn't noticed many that were 'incredibly' fit. I'm certainly not, but I guess we'll see. Hopefully the pictures aren't purposely setup to lure in a false sense of confidence...

Good luck.

My friend is training for this, but I think she is actually trying to place. Like Grant said the pictures look like a bunch of regular folks. Hell there's even free beer at the end...

where I'll probably skip is if there is any rope climbing or diving into some muddy creek with my head under water. I don't mind trudging through some chest deep slop or crawling through thick mud.
