DFWStangs 2010 Summer Transformation Contest

Ok, I've copied most of this from Greg's post last year, and added a few things.

DFWStangs Summer Transformation 2010

Rules
Same as last year...
There seems to be a lot of badasses in the pumping iron forum. It’s time to put up or shut up. Show us what you got! Summer will be here shortly and this transformation will get you ready for the pool, lake, beach, or whatever.
The transformation can be weight loss, bulk, muscle gain, anything you think will make the best transformation for you to win.

How contestants will be judged: Each judge ranks the contestants from first to last. If there are 10 contestants, each first place vote is awarded 10 points, which decreases to the 10th place vote which would be awarded 1 point. Then all the results would be tallied up to decide the contestant’s place.

Prizes: (So Far)

This year we are asking everyone to donate $25 to the following paypal account [email protected] if you want to join. The money will be counted once the contest starts, and we'll come up with prize ammounts.



Start Date: Jan 15 - Feb 1, 2009

End Date: June 15, 2009

Rules:
• Must be an active poster on Dfwstangs (Judges discretion)
• Before and After pictures required with newspaper (and close up of date on newspaper so we can verify the date) or a white piece of paper with date and "xxxxxxxxxx" on it. (i will tell you a week prior so there's no cheating by starting now)
• A minimum of 4 before and after pictures of different poses (relaxed front with newspaper), relaxed back or flexed back, front double bicep or most muscular, legs). Make sure these pictures will allow the judges to accurately see your progress. Also keep before and after pictures under the same conditions (i.e. lightning, cameras, poses, flexing). More poses/pictures are encouraged. Guys can wear shorts, Girls can wear bathing suit top also.
• No use of illegal drugs and/or designer steroids/prohormones/hgh (obviously this will be on the honor system)
• Any of the contestants who does not complete the starting pics, final pics, or any of the other requirements will be disqualified.
Below is the information each contestant will fill out.

First round of pics are due anytime between Jan 15th and Feb 1st, this gives some of you guys enough time. Contest starts on the 15th, but we'll allow entries up until February 1st

I've always been a big guy, got down to about 255 last year with this contest, but once the summer was over, i sold my house, and I've been looking for a new job, etc. I haven't seen the gym since September, and really look forward to getting back in there, and knocking out these 50 or so pounds.

Supplements that will be used during the contest:
Orance Triad, Fish Oil, Glutemine, Protein

Short Term Goal:
Lose 50 pounds, and get in the 230s

Long Term Goal:
Put on about 20 pounds of muscle mass, and maintain a healthy 250s

Just had a baby and have lost more than my baby weight but there is no muscle and needs to be toned.

Work on Abs and legs, turn blubber into muscle.

Worked out on and off since high school. Lacked any real consistency the last 4 years, so need to get back to it. My best shape was when I was 25-26, 155 lbs, 4-5% BF and 29-30" waist.

Short Term Goal:
Doing Warrior Dash May 1st, so want to finish it without killing myself. Will work on cardio and upper body strength.

Long Term Goal:
Get back into my 30" waist jeans and maintain a healthier BF %, probably near 30% now.

Every year I sign up for this and give up on myself about 1/2 way through. Quitting seems to be something I'm good at. Hoping to prove myself wrong this year and stick with it - win or lose! I am dreading the "before" pictures. I fear they look worse than my "before" pictures last year. If I don't buckle down and do this NOW I never will.

Was in great shape back in 2004 and let myself go. Slowly went from 118 to 145 and can't seem to get myself motivated to shake these 20-25 pounds! It took me 3 months to get down to 135 recently and I gained it all back in less than 1 month. I am doing a 5K in February and going to Mexico in April so it's time to get my ass into gear!

Supplements that will be used during the contest:
None

Short Term Goal:
Jog 5K nonstop (I don't care if it takes me 45 mins to finish) and lose 10 pounds before trip to Mexico.

Long Term Goal:
Lose 20-25 pounds of fat and 2-3 dress sizes. Tone my legs, arms, and abs.

Used to be extremely athletic, then not so much. Went from 185 to ~240, dropped down to 193, started lifting heavy without burning off the fat, increased to 205, ate like shit for 2 months and hit 211 (as of yesterday)

Add me to the list, I have no desire to be chunky in San Diego this summer, and I can finally jog again.

Short bio about yourself: I was in the best shape of my life back in 2008, then after breaking my leg pretty severly I was bed bound for a month and stuck in a chair for another 2, causing pretty sever atrophy. Couple that with lack of activity and boredom eating, I've put on a decent amount of fat.

Supplements that will be used during the contest: A multi-vitamin and solid nutrition, possibly creatine and glutamine near the end to fill my muscles back out a little.

Short Term Goal: to see my abs again

Short bio about yourself: I have always been very athletic. I was down to the lowest I had been in years. I was at 165 and then I got married. I have put on 40 pounds of unwanted weight. I have a naturally big build, so I just want to get back down to 165. I just kicked dipping after 9 years, so I now know I can do anything. I eat entirely to much shit. Pizza, warm up crap, and dinner is loaded with salt.

Contestant 101's Bio

Age: 33 (July 1976 baby)
Sex: Male
Height: 5’ 8”
Weight: 197 (calculated minus clothes)

Short Bio: (to remain anonymous I will keep it real short and vague) At age 28 I changed my lifestyle and became in the best shape of my life. Even during my 4yrs active duty in the Marines I was not in as good of shape as I was in the summer of 2005. A sedentary lifestyle and eating like crap has ruined my body and my health once again and wrecked all my hard work. I want it back.

Supplements: For now I have not chosen any. The plans are for a recovery drink and protein shake of some sort.

Short term goal: By June 2010 back down to 165lb and to get a clean bill of health from my doctor.

Long term goal: To keep the new and improved lifestyle change rolling and give back to my wife the vision of me from when we first met. Weight-wise I would like to start to build up from 165lb but I think my frame is more suited for 170ish and maintain.

Short bio about yourself: I work about 75 hours a week. I'm more interested in losing fat and gaining muscle. I'm most driven by the figures of the fitness models (as seen in www.oxygenmag.com) and plan on incorporating lots of weight training into my routine. I drink a lot though - like...5 nights a week (as a bartender) and about 10 shots each shift that I work (probably more). I get home late late late, and I get sucked in by the orange glow of the Whataburger sign at 4am.

Supplements that will be used during the contest: need help = not sure what supplements I should be taking to achieve the look i want

I'm back, and caught up, i'll get everything posted up tonight, and updated. I haven't even taken my pictures yet

I work from home and basically plant my ass in a chair all day long. Fortunately my diet isn't horrible and I've kept my weight in the 200 to 210 range. My ideal weight was in the Army at 175lb but I'm gonna aim for 180lbs..

Trout, Salmon, and more trout..

Short Term Goal:
drop to 185lbs

Long Term Goal:
drop to 175 with some nice lean muscle definition.

Short Bio: Basically I'm tired of my clothes not fitting. NOTHING currently fits me except the new clothes I bought myself for Christmas. I have a closet full of clothes that I want to wear again. I've gained a lil under 50lbs the last year and a half and Im ready to finally make the change to get back in the "Normal" range. Just started back to the gym so figured I could use some motivation to keep myself focused.

Supplements: Not sure yet.

Short term goal: LOSE WEIGHT! By the end of this I want to be down to 150lbs and get closer to a flat stomach.

Long term goal: To keep up with the the lifestyle change and be happy with what I see. Weight-wise Im thinking I need to maintain the 140-150lb weight.

Just curious how this is gonna wrap up? We're getting close to the end. Do we need to update our bios and get new pics up by a certain date?

I'll be out of town for work from 6/13-6/18 so I may have to get my stuff in a few days early.
