So what do you guys eat before/after workouts?
For me, right now, its more about needing the carbs for fuel and protein for muscle. I've not started any intense weight training yet, just core and endurance mostly and fat burning most of all.
Even though I have been watching calories and staying in my range (lost 4 pounds since Dec 10 despite Christmas) I don't quite understand about what to eat and when and in what quantities. For instance, I try to eat 1 or 1.5 hours before my workout. My trainer thinks I need to up my carbs before and proteins after. So what is a sensible measure of carbs or proteins? 2g? 10g? 30g?
The amount of information out there is a bit overwhelming and some contradictory.
