2010 Contest?

Greg, everyone else?

Who's ready for a 2010 contest? I know I am.

Anyone else interested in getting this going? Let's say start date Jan. 15, end date May 15.

You're only as strong as you allow yourself to be...

Ok, that leaves me out. I am too old and the muscle don't tone like it used to.

I'm not sure on the Supps part, I think last year it was no steroids or pro hormones, but everything else was ok.

My personal opinion is, if you can buy it over the counter, it's legal.

I'd totally be in on this one along with the wife if i was going to be back in the country by then. I could swing it if you started it at the end of March, but not before then.

Trust me I don't expect you guys to wait for me, so we will just have to catch the next one.

I'm unoffically in. I will take pics with a newpaper to date the before/after, but I will not post them on this site to be shopped a hundred different ways or to have to deal with even more comments. But I'll use this contest as additional motivation. Really looking forward to it.

Don't you say that same exact thing every time this competition comes up. By now you should be in good enough shape to post the pics.

I've made my health and training a priority for the first time in a LONG time. I have alot more weight to lose than most people here. Last year was just too crazy with a new baby (our first). I am making some big changes for 2010, with or without a contest. Now that we have a routine and a schedule going, it's much more doable now.

It's not a resolution this time, but a priority goal. 215lbs is the goal and I will get there. Not sure exactly when in 2010, but sometime I will.

What are you weighing in at right now? I'd love to see 215 again. Currently sitting at 270.

It's always been a "body transformation" contest, but fat loss tends to show the most change when posting pics on the net. That last few percent bodyfat is the hardest when leaning out, but not near as dramatic is comparing before and afters of a guy that lost 30lbs.

I say go ahead and use it for motivation and accountability if that's what it takes. Hell, I was a judge for the first contest we had and thus inelligible to win anything, but I still had better results than most of the contestants.

Yup, this working from home on my ass, not eating good, and not working out is taking it's toll.

I won't be going for huge weight loss since I've already lost 60+ lbs in the last year, but I'd like to get arround 190lbs and tone up quite a bit.

I'm 286lbs now and that is after already losing 22lbs. I got really bummed out for awhile when I first saw that 300lbs mark. Ugh..so disappointed in myself. But I'm not dwelling on it, I'm fixing it. No more "I'll start tomorrow" garbage.

I'm eating better, training several days a week and learning as much as I can. I've realized it's going to be a slow process and can't get discouraged when I don't see results like I'd like to. Doing whatever it takes, just as long as it's not quitting like my old pattern.

I'll do it. Last year I lost almost 20 pounds, I was nowhere near shredded though. This year I have kept most of that off and am in a much better starting position to come out looking decent in a picture. I think I can finish under 200 lbs. At the very least it is a lot of fun to do.

I'm in. Started getting my fatass in shape a couple weeks ago but I'm ready to kick it into overdrive and really make a push. I have a goal for a half marathon in April.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I'm aware, but I didn't quite understand with what was said. I'd like to see myself put on another 15-18lbs, which will be really difficult for myself especially since I'm running again. That would put me in the 207-210 range. I'm 6'1

You can say that again Mike. I'd like to see 220 lean again (5'10") before I get too old to give a shit.

Not to dash your hopes at all Whitepony, but adding 15lbs of solid mucles in a a year is difficult enough, to do it within the time frame a few months for a contest would require needles/tabs. Do what you can do man, and be proud of your own progress. Don't bummed about not being able to win, be thankful that you don't have all that extra weight to lose.

LOL, he knows this.
From what I recall, he has been down the needle road and is/was a personal trainer.

I might join in on this contest or at least judge.
I'm sitting at 246lbs(6/4) with the least amount of BF(very close to single digits) that my body has ever seen(zero cardio too might I add).
I am seeing muscles that I never even knew I had(then again, this is coming off 44 days straight in the gym, with zero rest days, had to take off Christmas day...boo whoooo!).
I expect to become very vascular whenever I actually drop the hammer on the cardio aspect of training.
I honestly have never been what I would call vascular in my life.
I attribute this to being 100% natural, the amount of food that I intake on a daily basis, and the lack of cardio...so it should be quite interesting to see the results whenever I actually go through with it.

I hope this contest happens again though, as it definitely helps out with creating motivation for some.

Mostly, I have seen improvements in my Teres Major/Minor, Rhomboid Major/Minor, Brachialus, wrist Flexors, Gastrocnemius and my Gluteus Maximus.

Mostly, I have seen improvements in my Teres Major/Minor, Rhomboid Major/Minor, Brachialus, wrist Flexors, Gastrocnemius and my Gluteus Maximus.

Pardon my spelling though.

Is everyone actually up for throwing in $10-$20 to go towards something for the top 3 winners this time (along side whatever Greg/any sponsor will throw in)?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I am. I say we start a paypal account, or have Greg or a judge do it, then everyone who enters sends 25 dollars to the paypal account. Then based upon the number of entries, we could pay 50% -1st, 30% - 2nd, 20% - 3rd?

Something along those lines

Works for me, I've put in $25-$50 the past several times, I'm up for it again.

PSHT.....

Im in... I just need to lift. I gain like a MOFO. AND you know im already lean....
