It's brutal, good for stamina and getting tone not really putting on size, follow a strict diet to see serious results.

I think I lost ~25lbs total on it.

It works, but you have to work too. Plan on having 1 1/2 hours a day to spend on the workouts (getting ready, workout, shower) 5-6 days a week.

It's intense. Great way to get cardio and lifting done at the same time.

A guy at work took it seriously and did the program twice now. I want to say hes lost a good 75lbs. if you are going to do it...you have to commit to the program, diet and exercise. A bad diet will kill you goals

shit some days it longer than that! especially the days you have to do ab ripper on top of the regular session. it is pretty brutal. i would out at the gym alot, then i did this program and i was sore as hell for the first two weeks. i just feel like a retard watching tv while working out. you really need a buddy to do it with you to keep motivated.

Yea, I'm sore as shit. I'm on my third day. It's a commitment alright. I think doing the nutrion is harder for me than the workout itself to stay commited. 90 Days. hopefully I can stick it out.

I did P90x, and almost completed it. (76 days) I went from 199 to 173. It works but you have to do it every single day. I did not follow the diet plan, but I did eat healthy, ate 6-7 meals a day if you count protein shakes, no coke, and no beer.

Of course that was a year ago and have since moved twice and my daughter was born so of course I am right back at just under 200. I come across the DVDs every couple of weeks so maybe I will jump back in.

Check for online coupons. I just googled "beach body online coupon" whenever I ordered it a while back and saved like $30.

I will google it Friday(coupons). I have heard horor stories about people not getting the books the "whole" package. unless you have purchased it previously then you dont know what you dont have in the box. I have seen some CL stuff out there that looks complete for real cheap. like 60-75$ for the 13 DVDs, books etc, some with bands.when I start I will start a thread to track progress.

I bought the 13 DVD's still in the package for $40 off of craigslist. All the books were on a CD though, which is fine with me.

I believe the normal work out is set pretty much at 1 hour. The ab breaker work out day is 20-30 minutes I believe with another 30-40 minutes of yoga and stretching (someone correct me if I'm wrong). And if you choose the 2 work outs a day option then your morning work out is an hour and your nightly work out is 30 min.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

so the general consensus is that it works if you stick to the routine and diet.

do they lay out a diet for you? what all comes w/ teh full package. if i order off CL i dont want to get ripped off on an incomplete package.

As long as that .pdf comes with the "3 Phase" layout that tells you what workouts to do each day, then yes. If not, I can give you the layout. Also, I bought mine off CL and it was the complete set. But like anything you buy of CL, you have to weed out the crap. Make sure it says "Complete Set" or "New In Box" or something of the like. I got mine for $65, new in box.

Equipment needed?

I know they recommend a pull up bar, which I have, but what else do you need? Just a yoga mat and either resistence bands or dumb bells?

Do you need all that from the start or do you get into needing the dumb bells & yoga mat later on?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Right from the start. Yoga block, if you're not flexible. The block is not needed and I haven't used one, but I can see how it could help.

You pretty much need it at the start.

Day 1 is chest and back so I recommend getting some pushup bars, a pull-up bar, and I believe there are a couple of workouts that use dumbbells. I'm not a huge fan of resistance bands. They might be good for getting a few extra reps in between REAL reps, but they never seemed to really work me out.

In all honesty, you shouldn't try to "lean" out until you've already gotten in shape. Take professional fighters for instance. They stay in constant shape. Your body has a natural weight and body-type that it wants to be at. Excercise for a while until you know you're in shape, and make adjustments from there. EX) Leaning out your diet, more reps/less weight...

I do exercise,I bike 50-70 miles a week two to three tmie sa week then run2-3 miles on alternating days and still semi regular in jiujitsu. I'm in decent shape so im just trying to lean out and change how i eat and the type of work outs i do

When do you guys do your workouts???? I work 8 to 5 most days, but 3 to 4 days out of the week I work 8am-11pm (64 hours a week). I was thinking about just getting up at 6 and doing the workout right away then getting ready for work.

I am really trying to figure out if it would be ok to do it before breakfast or not. I figured if I get up and have a protein shake I would be ok to do the workout and eat breakfast afterwards or even just a healthy snack if not a real breakfast.

It'll be tough doing it with my schedule, but I need to get into real shape, not this round shape I'm in now!

Do not work out on an empty stomache. That's bad, mk?

And if you drink your protein shake with milk, don't drink it before working out. I made that mistake once and spent a painful 5 minutes leaning over the toilet.

i'd had to differ. long as its right when you get up. it's okay to work out in the morning. make sure you eat good afterwards. It's not good to work out on an empty stomach after you been up for a while. But right after you wake is okay, you'll even burn more calories that way. I was in the military 5 1/2 years working out that way and now i do p90x first thing in the mornings

^^ Agree. I workout at 4:30am before work. I definitely don't eat before a P90X workout, or else I would puke. I'm on week 11 and I don't think not eating b-fast before working out has hindered my gains at all. It took awhile to get used to working out that early, I'm not a morning person at all, but my body has gotten used to getting up and working out.
