Thanks, make sense.. I tried it out doing cardio after my workout and I like it much better.. I think Im gonna do a little cardio (15 - 20 mins) and then do about 45mins of cardio durinig my off days. Need to drop some LBS and I aint gonna stop drinking beer.. So I guess I'll step up the cardio...
If you do cardio first, you won't be getting as much out of your weight workout. If you do weights first, you will get the same if not better cardio workout afterwards (given you might not be as fast).
When I do cardio, I do it afterwards (as well as abs).

I have to get my heart rate up before I can do any good on weights.
I usually go jogging in the morning, then go to work. At work I will get on the treadmill off and on throughout the day. After work I'll go to the gym and do cardio, then the ab killer, then weights, then abs, weights, and go home.
If I try to go straight to the weights, then I have to go light until my heartrate goes up. Seeing as I can quickly get bored (distracted) and find something else to do, I'll never skip cardio before weights.
You should never go straight to the weights, always warm up. I will hop on the treadmill for 5 minutes before I lift, but I don't consider that cardio.
I usually warm up for 5 minutes walk/cycle. Then stretch, run 4-5 miles and a light workout. But I am trying to get in shape and not trying to be a bodybuilder. I try to run on one day work out the other and alternate. I incorporate core stretches due to me having a bad back and that has really helped me out.
