Question for the DL guys

I was watching some DL vids and noticed alot of the ppl just basically Drop it at the top, and basically focus on the Lift part and not the put back down part.
i have been doing slow/controlled up and down and find the down is where it is hardest for me to keep my lower back dead straight.

am i doing it wrong? should i just slam it into the ground when done with a rep and start the next rep? or stuck with a much more controlled down motion like im doing now?

D.
Pain, is weakness leaving the body.

I do it a slower steady pace. I dont really want to throw out my back again!

I controlled drop it. Trying to lower it back down slowly without curving your back is very difficult and can lead to injury.

I do slow negs on DL when I am doing sets, and I won't do it over 405lbs... if I am DLing 3 times my weight (485-515), I don't want to risk any damage trying a controlled neg, ya know? Both hands and hips square, let it back down solid and controlled. I focus on 'exploding' thru the lift and locking out my knees.

Sorry to thread hijack but I've been wanting to start deadlifting but i'm not wanting to hurt myself. As of now I am just using 95 lbs and slowly working into it. Does anyone have a video of what they would call perfect form? I've never done deadlifts.
