Is that false modesty? I'm sure most of the members that post in this forum don't touch that weight for that many reps. I rep 225 about 8-10 times and it's taken me a long time to get there, especially with perfect form.

Sorry if my response seems a little cold, but I consider myself a fairly advanced lifter and really wish I could push around that kind of weight, though I guess I do approach lifting from more of a bodybuilding point of view...

Stellarkart.. there are several ppl here who make a 315 deadlift look like childs play..DLing 400+

this is only my second week Dling in 10 years.. and i have a herniated l5s1.. so i dont consider 315 DL to be heavy.. nothing to do with modesty..

not to knock your lifts.. but im sure im a little heavier then you too..

You're making me want to get back into deadlifts, as soon as i have my leg under me. Not bad for a crotchety old man.

David, dead lifts are a good all-over workout. You use so many muscle groups. I cannot understand why anyone says, "oh man, DLs will hurt you, don't do them". Damn near EVERY huge bodybuilder incorporates disgusting quantities of dead lift and squats into their routine.

Good dead lift day:

flat: 135 x 10, 225 x 10, 315 x 10, 365 x 6, 385 x 3, 405 x 3, 485 x 1, 495 x 1, 505 x 1

3" box: 225 x 5, 315 x 5, 365 x 3, 385 x 3

i think my max was 330 when i was at my highest weight of 170. i like deadlifts it just that after a killer set i always feel like i'm going to vomit. i guess thats why i do them last. lol.
