Anyone been through a rotar cuff tear?

I am awaiting the results of my MRI, but being that the pain has not subsided, and that the doc seemed pretty sure that it is at least a partial tear. I have decided (under the direction of my dr and trainer) to take off the past week, so I haven't lifted on it since the injury. This happend last Tuesday (3/24) and it still feels like its hurt. I do think I have gained some use of it, but trying to get my arm behind my back hurts bad, and doing a lateral raise can be aggravating. If anyone has had an injuy like this and wants to shed some light on it I'd appreciate it. I had my MRI on Tuesday and havent heard back from the ortho, probably wont until my appointment on Monday. I am praying it is a partial tear or tendinitis or something that will heal up quick and strong, this is my first real injury from lifting and it sucks.

I went through bouts of it on and off for a while until I learned how to change my training up. I think I had a partial tear, I never had it diagnosed. I did a ton of research, and rehabbed it. Now, my shoulders have gone from my weakest body part to one of my favorites. Someone posted a link to some shoulder info on here that helped a lot.
