low low carb diet?

ive started my cutting diet and im trying a new one!
its basically high protein (about 1- 1 1/2 gram per pound), moderate fat (about 1/2 g per lb) and low low carbs (no direct sources of carbs)!

basically putting the brain into ketosis (it uses ketone bodies for energy-- fats)

any one tryed this kind of diet and how effective was it?

So, basically, the Keto/Palumbo diet.

It can work, but you will start losing a lot of energy in your workouts, but it's mainly a pre-contest type thing. There are a lot of arguments on each side, just a matter of weighing pros/cons for your individual goals.

You're a fighter, right? Low carb diet would be the last thing I would do unless You're about to try to shed the last 10 before a fight and you don't think you can make weight otherwise.

so like atkins? my wife did it and lost about 15 pounds in two weeks. she was never "fat" what fat she had she lost, but as soon as you quit it takes a few months and you have gained it back. plus i heard if your trying to build muscle it is not a good diet because your body is being catabolic.
