losing weight without cardio

or little cardio being done. Don't get me wrong, i don't want to stop running, that's what has got me to where i am now. But until i get this damn treadmill fixed or buy another one, i doubt i'll be doing much cardio.

So, is it still possible to lose weight (inches off my waist) without doing much cardio? My diet is pretty damn good, i don't usually eat what i'm not suppose to and i hardly ever eat too much of anything. I've started to increase the amount of weight and the different workouts with weights that i'm doing.

i got this feeling that i already know this answer. All i have left is this little space below my belly button that i need gone and my gut will be flat like i want it. I'm sure it'll take cardio alone for it to be gone.

once i get this off, then i'll start to focus on bigger muscles, woohoo

About 2 - 3 months ago, i stopped all processed food and sugar intake.

I started eating a lot of greens, lean meat, and fruit.

I've lost 10lbs already. Most of that was the pudge on my stomach. I was never fat in the first place, but i wanted to tone out, which i have.

The first couple of weeks were hard. WillPower goes a long way

There are many other ways to get cardio in with out a treadmill. Jump roping is just as good and to me is more entertaining than running. Hitting and kicking a punching bag is all cardio as well.

I think itís possible to lose weight without cardio and just diet but your body would plateau eventually.

You're gonna laugh, but go do 100 jumping jacks and come back, you will understand.

They will wear your ass out. A great exercise to burn fat because you can completely control your pace. You can go get some wrist and ankle weights for like 20 bucks at walmart and really kill yourself.

I don't know why i never thought about doing anything else besides running or riding a bike for cardio. Just didn't seem like anything else would be as good. I should really start paying attention more lol

Heck man, cardio can actually be fun. That's most of the reason I maintain a crossfit regimen, as it keeps it intense and I can actually get some cardio in AND resistance/weight training. I hate running, get bored biking too much, feel like I'm drowning when I swim.

It can be as simple as going a little lighter on the weight, reducing down time in between sets/lifts and really smoking yourself. One thing the Army has really given me is the mindset to be creative when working out.

I lost alot of weight when I changed one meal a day to salad instead of a huge ass serving of deliciousness. And i didn't even have all that much to lose.

You don't NEED cardio to lose weight at all. I would suggest a sport though if you can. And why do you need a treadmill to run? I am the opposite...I can't run on a fucking treadmill without a damn harness, and an LCD TV with 100+ channels in from of me.

i guess the only issue i have in doing other things for cardio is, how much do i have to do to equal running 3miles. I guess i should find out how many calories that burns first.

sorry, just talking out loud to myself

Like has been covered, try the above. Polymetrics is some hardcore shit. Try a right leg lunge, left leg lunge, squat, then jump as high as you can from the squat (like a frog). Do about 20 reps of that and tell me you're not sucking wind.

Jumping jacks, push ups, mountain climbers, squat thrust, (you know, good ol' Marine Corps thrashing) will get your blood pumping too.

Or just work out in a circut without rest between sets.
