Did my first brick workout

I wasn't planning it or anything... but I'm hooked.

Started with a 21.5 mile ride. Went pretty well considering its still only 47* outside and the wind is BRUTAL out there. I was really just concentrating on HR, staying in zone 2, and maintaining a steady pace.

When I finished my loop I didn't really feel like battling the wind anymore but I was feeling great so I said, "Fuck it, where are my running shoes." The transition is definitely odd. It's a good thing I had the brace on. In the first couple steps I hit the 0* lock once or twice.

I only ran ~1.5 miles and had to stop more than once to adjust my brace. I hated it when I was doing it, but felt great as soon as I stopped. LOL.

So yeah, now I'm even more motivated to reach my goal of being at least semi competitive in completing a tri by next summer

Slider... teach me to run

Awesome. That wind is killer, I live in the country, and there is a road that is a straight mile on the dot. I run it 4 or 5 days a week. Going down it today was straight into the wind. Wore me out. The way back, I felt like Michael Johnson.
